This series of monoprints was a fiction. An imagined decoding of a faint signal, linking this cooled and stable timeline back to its wildly cosmic beginnings. Each print rendered a cataclysmic event recorded and signalled across deep spacetime by an unknown author.
Inspired by the illustrative records of early astronomers from the 1800’s - this series of monoprints became a space opera. The printing process experimented with various types of powdered substances to resist the paint which created the sense of a kind of cosmic archeological dig. Though hazy and noisy in resolution, the images appeared astronomical in scale, bolstering the fiction. These ‘transmissions’ were recorded at Beach Observatories; a fictional site set up for astronomical observations.
